Donald Trump is bad at being president.

5 Reasons Trump Doesn’t Deserve Another Term

1. He’s Just Bad at the Job

Donald Trump is simply not very good at the job of being president. He doesn’t have the patience or the legal knowledge to see things through. Most of his “accomplishments” have come through short-term and often not impactful executive orders. Moreover, his managing of the federal bureaucracy is abysmal. From the Post Office to the US Mint to the immigration system, Trump has decimated the functioning of the federal government.

Donald Trump is bad at being president.

2. He Abuses His Powers

This is literally why he was impeached, and why he had the first-ever vote to convict against a president from a member of his own party. He has used his office to enrich himself and his family. He has used his office to aid in his own reelection. And he has used his office to protect himself from litigation and prosecution.

Donald Trump is as corrupt a president as we’ve ever had.

3. He Failed to Handle the Coronavirus Crisis

Every president faces crises. This president failed to handle his. He knew how dangerous the coronavirus was, lied about it, didn’t listen to scientists, let hundreds of thousands of his own citizens die, and has done nothing to show he’ll do better with another term. Do you want him to be in charge of the next crisis?

Donald Trump cannot be trusted in a crisis.

4. He Failed the Fundamental Test of Any President

The easiest way to determine if someone was a good president or not is this: Did they leave office with the country in better condition than when they entered office? For Trump, the answer is clearly no. He simply doesn’t deserve another term.

Donald Trump made the country worse by almost any metric.

5. He is a Threat to National Security

Something that doesn’t get talked about enough is how Trump’s failed COVID response exposes how vulnerable we are to a biological attack with him in office. Do you not think one of our enemies is thinking that? I do. And I bet they could pull it off with four more years to plan and carry it out.

Aside from that, Trump is over $400 million in debt to … someone. His financial ties to foreign powers are well-documented. A president in debt to other countries is a threat to national security. Period.

We cannot take four more years.
